Does not fit: VM5251 – according to V-Tech this model has a permanently built-in battery that cannot be changed. None of these batteries fit the DM221 and DM222 either.

The VM312 variant is a NiMH pack made of three AAA cells, the VM321 variant a flat lithium battery – in each case exactly what V-Tech fits at the factory. With the lithium battery the charge level does not matter; the NiMH pack is best charged as fully as possible.

▸ My V-Tech is not on the list – what now?

V-Tech has a great many model ranges. Send us the number from the type label on the back of the parent unit and we will check whether we stock the matching battery or can source it.

▸ Why does no replacement battery fit the VM5251?

On the VM5251 the battery is, according to the V-Tech manual, permanently built into the parent unit and not intended as a spare part. Changing it would only be possible by opening the housing – something we cannot recommend.
