Capacity compared to the original

On three variants the capacity differs slightly from the original battery – we would rather tell you up front: the DVM-75 group (DVM-65 to DVM-78) has 800 mAh in the original, this replacement 700 mAh. On the DBX-111 it is 750 mAh in the original against 700 mAh. On the DVM-64 it is 950 mAh in the original against 700 mAh here. In practice that means a slightly shorter runtime per charge, no difference in function.

⚠️ Note for the DVM-64:
The original battery of the DVM-64 is 5.0 mm thick, this replacement battery 3.6 mm. If in doubt, compare the old battery with the new one before fitting it, so that it sits properly in the compartment.

The DVM-75, DBX-20 and DBX-111 get a NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) pack, the DVM-64, DVM-69 and DBX-60 a lithium battery – exactly as Alecto fitted them at the factory. With the lithium battery it makes no difference whether you charge fully or in between; the NiMH pack is best charged as fully as possible.

▸ Where do I find the model number?

On the type plate on the back of the parent unit, usually under the belt clip or inside the battery compartment. It starts with DVM or DBX.

▸ Why does one variant cover a whole model range?

Because Alecto fits the same battery throughout that range: the original replacement battery S002095 (3.6 V, 800 mAh) is specified by Alecto itself for the DVM-65, DVM-73, DVM-75, DVM-76, DVM-77 and DVM-78. That is why this variant covers all six devices.

▸ Why does the replacement battery have fewer mAh than the original?

On the DVM-65 to DVM-78, DVM-64 and DBX-111 variants the capacity is slightly below that of the original (700 mAh instead of 800, 950 or 750 mAh). Voltage, cell technology and connector match; only the runtime per charge is a little shorter. On the other variants the capacity matches the original.

▸ I have a DVM200M or DBX-62 – does one of these batteries fit?

No. Alecto uses its own batteries for these two devices, and they differ in shape and connector. Just write to us and we will see whether we can source the right battery.

▸ My Alecto is not in the list
